USBoS Forums is a friendly, safe environment for discussion of Pagan-related topics. Before you post, please read and respect these rules.

RESPECT
No flaming or name calling. Harassment or abuse directed towards anyone will not be tolerated. Be respectful of other posters. This applies to ALL users, regardless of post count, forum rank or perceived status. Remember to respect your peers, even if they have an opinion that differs from yours. Agree to disagree.
You will not use this bulletin board to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violate common sense and the law.

NO SPAM POLICY
No spamming, period. Advertisements and solicitations are inappropriate on these message boards. Any such messages will be removed at the discretion of either a forum moderator or administrator.
Do not spam or send unsolicited emails or private messages to other members. Spammers will be banned.

POSTING GUIDELINES
No SHOUTING. It’s rude and annoying. Typing in ALL CAPS may result in your post being deleted. Same applies for AlTeRnAcApS. Please keep in mind that the reason you are posting is so that others can read what you have written. Therefore, we ask our members not to use excessively formatted text and to keep fonts to a reasonable size that are easy to read. We also ask that you keep chatspeak to a minimum (typing “lol” or its variations, or the occasional “u” is okay), and use English to write your posts.
We are not grammar nuts here, but do try to keep your posts readable.
Do not post pornography or links to pornography or obscene materials of any form here.
No posting, PM'ing or linking of pyramid schemes, chain letters or hit/tag games.
Post to the correct forum. I cannot stress this enough. When a moderator discovered a thread in the wrong area, we will either move the thread or delete the thread. Constant posting in the wrong forums will result in a suspension.
Do not post direct links to any illegal materials, including but not limited to: illegal software, viruses, worms, trojans, spyware. Posts linking to these materials will be deleted and the poster will be suspended/banned.
Do not post slanderous, libelous, or other untrue statements about anyone on these boards. We are all friends here.

ACCOUNTS
Each forums member is limited to one account/username/alias. Creation of multiple accounts will result in the deletion of all but one account, and possibly a ban. If you would like to change or edit your account, please contact Hetshepsit the admin.
Do not impersonate other individuals. You’d be amazed at how many times this happens...
Do not post personal information such as phone numbers, addresses or passwords. Posts including these will be deleted.

MODERATION, SUSPENTION AND BANNING
Moderators here are volunteers and trusted friends of Hetshepsit. They are here to help enforce all these rules, as Hetshepsit does have a life and cannot always run the forums by herself. They are completely unbiased. If you have a problem with a moderator, please contact another Mod or Hetshepsit.
Mods are your friends, so feel free to ask them any questions. If they are unsure, they will forward your question to Hetshepsit.
Any Mod edits will have the preface MOD NOTE ahead of it and will be in RED. Anyone posting false mod edits will face punishment.

First-time offenders and people breaking a more “minor” rule will be PM-ed by a Mod, explaining the situation.
Temporary bans, lasting up to a month, are for people who break some of our “larger” rules after up to three warnings. These bans tend to last for five days, but may last longer.
Permanent bans are rarely (hopefully never) used. For people who have had many temporary bans and still don’t abide by the rules will be discussed among the Mods and, if majority rules, the offender will be banned permanently.
